After a librarian asked Halls to write a book to help little readers understand dinosaur scale -- how big is big -- she began to picture an imaginary parade where little kids could walk alongside dinosaurs.  What better way to unlock the mystery of dinosaur size?

Three years and 60 dinosaurs later, the book has come to vibrant life, thanks to the brilliance of paleoartist Rick C. Spears, who has illustrated three other book penned by Halls.

What We Do

We create energetic, accurate nonfiction books for young readers.  Dinosaur Parade is for very young readers 4 to 7.  But Dinosaur Mummies and Tales of the Cryptids is for kids 9 and up.  We try to serve all young readers by creating fun, carefully researched books they're sure to love. 

Kelly also does powerful elementary school author  visits for just $500 a day, plus expenses.  Hoping to get your kids excited about nonfiction reading and writing?  Keep our lively presentations in mind.   We also do writer/illustrator conferences, of course.  Let us show you how to turn your weirdest idea into young reader book gold. 

Rick will do illustrator workshops at conferences, book festivals and weekend events, but he works full-time at a science center so his schedule is a little less flexible.
