Kelly Milner Halls is a full-time freelance writer in Spokane, Washington.  She's written for kids for about 20 years now and she's never bored. 

RIck C. Spears ia a part-time illustrator, full-time exhibit designer and educational programming expert at a science center in Atlanta, GA. 

They met when Kelly wrote her first book for families, DINO TREKKING a guide to fossil stops all over the country in 1994.  He volunteered to illustrate the book, and a creative spark was ignited. 

Since then, Kelly and Rick have worked together on five books, and there are lots more yet to come.  But DINOSAUR PARADE is one of their favorites.

The picture on the left is from DinoFest, a dinosaur festivival held in Tempe, Arizona a lot of years ago. 

This one was taken when we got to help dig up a T. rex in Ekalaka, Montana, a couple of years later.

And this one, was taken in Georgia in 2007 at a book festival, but my hair frizzed out so it's all rolled up on the top of my pin-heady little head.  : )
